Tim Kaine Talks Police Reform, Gun Violence, & More With Pusha T

As Hillary Clinton and her Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine make their last rounds before election day, Kaine sat down for an interview with Pusha T in the swing state of Florida.

Pusha has been an advocate for Clinton for a few months and those who registered to vote were given a chance to meet with the rapper. With Pusha and Kaine both being Virginia natives, the two met up at a Clinton-Kaine rally in Florida to chop it up about the issues surrounding the election.

Pusha’s biggest concern is the criminal justice system and mass incarceration plaguing low-income neighborhood across the country. Kaine wants to initiate police reform which starts with not only people respecting the police, but also the law respecting people.

Hillary looks to improve upon many of the policies that President Obama enacted.

“Just like the election of President Obama moved us forward as a nation, because there had never been an African-American president, the election of Hillary Clinton would move us forward as a nation because there has never been a woman president,” Kaine told the rapper.

Towards the end of the video, Pusha encourages everyone to get out and vote on November 8, saying, “We have a voice and it needs to be heard. And voting is the best way to express that voice.”
