“I’m on the move again, Golden globe’s can suck a d-ck,” he wrote about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association on Instagram on Monday (Dec. 12). “I accept my series POWER was not intended to be a signature show for the network but it is the highest rated show. I know my audience very well, I’m done promoting this out side of contractual obligations. SEASON 4 KANAN MUST DIE, I got other shit to do.#EFFENVODKA.”
50 Cent serves as executive producer of the New York-set drama and also stars as the character, Kanan. The season three debut of the Courtney Kemp Agboh-created show reeled in 2.26 million viewers, the most-watched episode of any Starz original ever, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Starz also renewed Power for seasons four and five.
The hip-hop mogul also posted a flick of professional boxer Floyd Mayweather on top of a Power backdrop, suggesting that the veteran may replace him on the show. “I’m off the POWER train, champ is gonna do the show,” 50 Cent continued. “Go to him for more info, I gotta do something different.#EFFENVODKA.”
Mayweather has yet to issue any formal response.
Billboard has reached out to reps for Starz and 50 Cent for comment.
