TV One’s ‘Rickey Smiley For Real,’ Garners Growth Among Male Viewership

TV One’s original series Rickey Smiley For Real experienced a season best, up 18% among P25-54 vs. its premiere season. The third season finale was up 15% to 298K among P25-54 vs. the second season finale. For the night, the Season 3 finale was the #2 original series premiere telecast on Ad Supported Cable in prime among AA W25-54 and AA W/M 18-49.

Additionally, Adult Male (P18+) viewership has consistently grown season over season, and is up 3% to 110K for Season 3. During Season 3, Males 25-54 increased 14% over last season – with the finale up 68% over the Season 2 finale among M25-54. TV One ranks as a Top 5 Ad Supported Cable Network in the Tuesday 8-9 p.m. time slot among AA P25-54 (Ranked #4).

Rickey Smiley For Real has gained popularity over each of its three seasons due to its realistic presentation of nationally syndicated radio personality, host and stand-up comedian Rickey Smiley, as he balances his real life family with his work family and all the demands he experiences as a businessman, a single father and an entertainer.
