DJ Khaled Named National Spokesperson for Get Schooled, Will Offer His ‘Keys To Success’

DJ Khaled has been named the national spokesperson for Get Schooled, a non-profit organization that aims to motivate students to graduate high school and succeed in college. The social media guru, who navigates life through catchphrases of his own creation, will now shed some wisdom through his campaign: “Keys to Success.”

“Education to me is the only way to the journey of success,” Khaled tells Billboard via email. “I have built myself from the ground up and I want to inspire the youth across America to win more like me, and learn from my experience that anything is possible with determination and focus.”

The campaign launched this week, and in celebration Khaled and Get Schooled surprised students at Miami Central Senior High School to help raise awareness for it. Various campaign elements include: Khaled Keys, Khaled Key Ambassadors, school visits, a rewards store, and scholarships.

“I have always been supporting Miami schools,” Khaled says. Get Schooled approached Khaled last year to take over a Miami high school that had high-attendance rates, which inspired him to be more involved. “I saw the kids’ reaction to the keys I was giving them and said to myself, ‘I want to impact kids across America to win more,’ so now I can give them the keys to success through the Keys program I created with the Get Schooled team.”
