DRAKE THINKS COACH WHO DIED SAVING STUDENTS IN FLORIDA SCHOOL SHOOTING DESERVES COURAGE AWARD

The Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Fla. took the lives of 17 people on Feb. 14., including assistant football coach Aaron Feis, who was shot and killed as he shielded two students. For his heroic actions, Drake believes Feis deserves a courage award.

TMZ caught up with Drizzy and asked the “God’s Plan” rapper if Feis should be the recipient of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the upcoming 2018 ESPY Awards. “They’re trying to say the hero coach should get an ESPY award. What do you think about that?” the rapper was asked. “I agree,” Drake replied.

Drizzy is not the only rapper to offer praise for Feis. Over the weekend, Lil Yachty revealed he was blown away by the late coach’s selfless act. “For one, I think that’s amazing,” the rapper said. “That’s movie scenes, you feel me. For someone to do that in real life, he had a good heart. Obviously, he was more than just a coach. In my eyes, when you do something like that, you’re a superhero. You become greater than man.”

The Lil Boat 2 rapper also agreed that Feis should be honored with the Courage Awards at the ESPYs. “Honestly, bro, if the ESPYs didn’t do it, that’s a problem,” he said.

According to a source close to the show, choosing Feis for the award would be a “no brainer.” The award committee meets in April to discuss nominees. The 2018 ESPY Awards will air in July.
