Ashton Howell, better known as the “honey bun baby” has been stealing the hearts and some laughs from us since he went viral earlier this month. You’ve probably seen the 22-month-old memes while scrolling through your social media feeds, but what does Ashton’s mom have to say about this?
“My first thought was, ‘How did they get my baby’s pictures? I mean, I don’t have these pictures,’ ” said Ariel Griggs, the baby’s mom when questioned about son’s superstardom on the Internet during an interview with AL.com. The smirking baby photo came from non other then his 18-year-old older brother who spent time babysitting his baby brother.
“He thought it was funny to dress Ashton up, putting his ‘little’ big head in caps and stuff and taking pictures of him, I found out he has a ton of pictures of Ashton on Instagram. I guess people just thought his pictures were cute and went from there,” she said.
The only concern Ariel Griggs has is some of the inappropriate jokes surrounding some of the memes with her cute son’s face as the punch line. “The last couple memes I’ve seen, they’ve been a little more X-rated. I don’t want people looking at my baby’s picture and thinking of stuff like that!” she went on to say.
