The Game Says ‘Westside Story’ Is ‘Probably Gonna Be My Last Album’

After rappers Lupe Fiasco and 50 Centhinted at possible retirements from music earlier this month, The Game is now considering joining the club.

During a stop on the European leg of his 1992 Block Wars tour, The Game revealed to his fans that his ninth album, Westside Story, will probably serve as the final chapter in his rap career.

“When I get back to LA, I’m going straight to jail because I f—ing had a fight with a police officer and s–t,”  he said to his fans in Moscow, Russia on Sunday (Dec. 18). “So I’m gonna sit down for a bit and write my next album, which is probably gonna be my last album. It’s called Westside Story, it’s gonna be some ill s–t.”

Earlier this week, The Game’s former G-Unit mate, 50 Cent, touched on the idea of retirement during an interview with Muscle & Fitness. According to Fif, he plans on exiting from rap after the release of his next album Street King Immortal“I want to finish with that project. I don’t want to write another record after that. You know how some artists got to have confirmation that they’re right. I have that confirmation in f—ing 35, 40 million [albums] that I already sold,” he said.

2016 has been a busy year for The Game. Not only did he release his album 1992, but he was also embroiled in an intense rap beef with Meek Mill and Beanie Sigel. Last month, he was ordered by an Illinois judge to pay up $7 million for a sexual assault case filed against him by a former contestant on his VH1 reality show She Got Game. He said he plans on making an appeal.
