fter ending 2016 and 2017 as Spotify’s most streamed artist, the 6 God begins 2018 hoisting another record. On Friday, (Jan. 19), Drake released his two track EP Scary Hours which featured “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity”. While both set the social media stratosphere ablaze, it was “God’s Plan” that attracted the most attention, breaking Spotify’s record for most streams in one day.
Drake congratulated himself for his own record and Lebron James for scoring 30k points.
After the fiasco with Meek Mill in the summer of 2015, Drake has focused his efforts toward his music. He released the mixtape What A Time To Be Alive with Future in September of that year, and had two of the most streamed projects of 2016 and 17, Views and More Life.
Although stating he intends to take time off to focus on outside projects, signs may be pointing to Drizzy releasing more music. The response received by Drake for the two tracks shows his Midas touch hasn’t left him yet.
