LeBron James Refuses To Talk To Phil Jackson, Won’t Stay At Trump Hotel During NYC Visit

LeBron James and the championship Cavalier squad is facing off against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

Aside from playing against, Carmelo Anthony — one of his best friends — it’ll also be the first time James will be around Phil Jackson after he called James’ group of friends a “posse.” When asked if he’d be willing to meet with Jackson to patch things up he simply said, “No.”

“Didn’t affect me, just know how much further we still have to go and how far we still have to go as African-Americans, even in the light of today. For me, I’ve built my career on and off the floor on the utmost respect, and I’ve always given the utmost respect to everyone — all my peers, people that’s laid the path for me and laid the path for coaches, players, things of that nature,” James continued.

That’s not the only stance Bron plans on taking during his trip to NYC. He and a few other teammates won’t be staying at the Trump Soho in lower Manhattan. The Cavs reportedly have a contract to stay at the Trump Soho, but they’ve been given permission to stay elsewhere.

James publicly campaigned for Hillary Clinton. Other teammates, including Iman Shumpert, have voiced their displeasure with Trump’s victory.
